Rules and Regulations (rev 2)

1. This tournament is open to all factories within Penang Free Industrial Zone only.
2. The tournament will be held in Badminton International Penang, Bukit Dumbar, Penang.
3. The rules of play shall be those laid down by the I.B.F.
4. Employees that join after 11 March 1999 shall not be eligible for this tournament.
5. Each team captain shall report to the Hon. Referee 15 minutes before the time scheduled for the commencement of the tie of his/her team.
6. Player list will be frozen and no more changes are to be made after closing date (May 15, 1999)
7. Only one (1) State player is allowed for each team.
8. Format of play � All doubles. -
9. Each player is allowed to play in only one match for each tie.
10. Any team player who fails to take to the court 5 minutes after the first call for the commencement of his/her match shall be disqualified.
11. The schedule of play is subject to change with prior notice given to participating teams.
12. Preliminary round will be based on round robin basis. Quarter finals will be based on knock-out system (depending on # of teams).
13. No player shall be permitted to leave the court without the prior consent of the officiating umpire.
14. Drinks shall be permitted during the game with prior consent of the officiating umpire or at the change of ends.
15. No player shall be permitted to change shuttlecocks without the prior consent of the umpire. Any player, found tempering with the normal flight of the shuttlecock shall be penalized.
16. Each team has to supply 2 line judges for each game of their match (except during final, official line judge will be provided).
17. The umpire�s decision shall be final on all points of facts. Any appeal must be submitted in writing, together with cash of RM100, to the organizing committee, within 24 hrs following the match. The decision of the Hon. Referee shall be final. � If the case is won, the RM100 will be returned to the company that raise the appeal.
18. Players are to be properly attired in allowable sports attire.
